Specialist Expertise
Chris has over 20 years’ restructuring experience working with corporates, lenders and other stakeholders of a broad range of businesses, with a particular focus on SMEs, in both an advisory and formal insolvency capacity. His sector expertise spans engineering, manufacturing, recruitment, retail, leisure, transport, construction and social care.
In times of stress, Chris provides advisory and support services to clients including cash flow reviews and management, business plan / forecast reviews, debt advisory and creditor management and options reviews and contingency planning, with a view to facilitating turnaround, accelerated M&A, or solvent solutions, where possible. Should it be required, he has been an appointment-taking insolvency practitioner since 2020 carrying out administrations, receiverships, company voluntary arrangements and insolvent liquidations.
Chris also works with solvent companies, groups and their shareholders on corporate simplification projects, including dissolution via solvent liquidations (MVLs), to facilitate group de-risking and governance improvements, and the return of assets to shareholders.
About Chris
Prior to joining the firm, Chris had a 20-year career with a Top 10 accounting firm where, for the last seven years, he was a Restructuring Advisory Director. During that time, he spent nine months on secondment to the ABL team of a challenger bank.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys travelling and leading an active lifestyle, including running, football, golf, and spending time outdoors. He likes spending time with his friends and his young family, mainly acting as taxi driver to and cheerleader at their various sporting interests, and generally enduring being a long-suffering fan of Tottenham Hotspur.
