Our team is regularly instructed to provide business and shareholder valuations of UK and overseas assets in contentious situations.
The valuations we undertake can range in size from hundreds of thousands of pounds to hundreds of millions of pounds and use income, market and cost approaches. Our reports explain how we reached our conclusions with sufficient detail and clarity so the end user can be confident in the robustness of our opinions. Our experts have given evidence under cross-examination on valuation related matters on numerous occasions.

Where required, we can provide detailed reports including fully reasoned explanations and methodology.
However, non-contentious valuation opinions can often be provided in a more flexible and streamlined way than a court-mandated opinion (including cost effective desktop valuations).
Valuations for tax purposes
We work collaboratively with our tax specialist colleagues (and third-party advisers) to provide independent company and share valuations. Our reports are then used to provide tailored advice or to negotiate settlement with tax authorities in both the UK and overseas.
Independent valuations for financial reporting purposes
