Working closely with accountants, lenders, legal advisers and business owners across Yorkshire and the wider UK, Gareth has developed a strong professional network and is regularly engaged to advise businesses, creditors and other stakeholders facing complex financial and operational challenges.
Gareth specialises in contentious insolvency assignments and complex restructuring situations. He combines deep technical knowledge of insolvency law and procedure with a pragmatic commercial approach.
With more than two decades of experience in the insolvency profession, Gareth has advised hundreds of businesses and individuals experiencing financial distress. He has significant expertise across the engineering, manufacturing, retail and construction sectors, where he has successfully delivered restructuring, recovery and formal insolvency solutions.
A recent assignment saw Gareth appointed as administrator to a textile printing business affected by the impact of the pandemic. By working closely with key stakeholders and implementing a structured M&A process, Gareth enabled the successful sale of the business and assets, generating £1.2 million of realisations and safeguarding 31 jobs.
Gareth has advised hundreds of businesses and individuals in financial distress and has extensive experience in advising small to medium size enterprises, also providing advice to creditors and other key stakeholders in the insolvency sector regarding the recovery of their debt and remedies available and safeguards to be taken.

Outside of work, Gareth enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. Gareth can often be found on the golf course when not spending time with the family.
