Gemma is a Director in the Restructuring & Insolvency team, leading the Liquidation Support Team at our Ringwood office. With over 30 years’ experience in insolvency, she combines extensive technical expertise with a compassionate, client-focused approach. Gemma believes that every client should feel heard and supported throughout the insolvency process, taking the time to understand their individual circumstances and working with her team to achieve the best possible outcome while making the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
Gemma’s career began as a receptionist at a Bournemouth-based insolvency practice. Within just four months, her dedication and ability were recognised, and she was entrusted with managing the firm’s entire bankruptcy department. She embraced the opportunity and has since built a wealth of experience across both personal and corporate insolvency.
Throughout her career, Gemma has worked with a diverse range of clients across many sectors, including restaurants, bespoke furniture manufacturers, picture framers, fancy dress retailers and aviation equipment manufacturers. Her broad experience enables her to provide practical, tailored support to businesses and individuals facing financial challenges.
Gemma holds the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) and has passed the JIEB Personal Insolvency examination. She also holds an NVQ in Business Management and an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, reflecting her commitment to both professional excellence and supporting clients with empathy and understanding.
About Gemma
Outside of work, Gemma enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. Living on the beautiful South Coast, she makes the most of her surroundings by visiting the local beaches and exploring the New Forest, often with a stop at a local pub along the way. She has also recently taken up sewing and is enjoying learning new skills with her sewing machine—although she admits The Great British Sewing Bee isn’t calling just yet!
